Description: Samui slashes his sword once, surrounding one part of the target’s body with hoarfrost, and then follows up with 36 successive strikes, summarily casing his foe in a stringent mass of ice, together with a small portion of the environment around him. These strikes are immediate; the only drawback is the range required for it to work effectively – being close-ranged.

Name: Dragon of Echigo
Description: This technique is what Samui is best known for. Samui covers his blade in ice, and continues to do so until it is an intricate structure of a dragon made solely of thick layers of crystalline ice. The dragon stretches approximately 35m from the hilt of Samui’s sword. Samui can use a lesser deviation of this technique, to make an effectual crystalline whip used for mid-range attacks.

Name: Aisu no Kami (the Ice God)
Description: Samui wholly covers himself in a thick layer of ice. In this form he is unaffected by the flesh, and can ice over flesh and blade alike unless the opponent’s blade is rated 4-5 stars. He is also incredibly glossy, which heightens his shiftiness ten-fold. It would take remarkably high temperatures to fully thaw out the thick layer of ice, but, a distinctive flame from an elemental-attack can wane the ice’s efficacy slightly.

Description: Samui can induce the natural power of his sword into his own body, making him capable of resisting extreme temperatures, and also allowing him to breathe out prevailing breezes of glacial winds well within range of freezing temperatures. Adding to that he can use the natural energy to harden his physical form.

Name: Moonlit Night
Description: A technique that Samui’s founding ancestor, Keishin, created after experiencing the divine intervention of the tribunal gods in his match against Yama no Enkou. After the gods gave him full vigor, Keishin managed to create his own means of retrieving a small fraction of the moon’s power that he used to revitalize, and mend him or give him an increase in his current physical abilities, including: his strength, speed, endurance, and agility. While this mode is active, Samui glows a luminous aura around his lean figure. It can only be used beneath the moon.

Historical InformationOrigin: Originally, Samui was to inherit his ancestral sword, but, when he received it, there wasn't a spark like every warrior told him there would be. This puzzled the young warlord, and for the next few months, he began training outside in the snow. As time progressed, that spark became a wildly powerful blizzard. For years he practiced with his sword, and it adapted to the coldest and harshest environment in the world, the Northern Sky tundra, where he always trained. This simple sword took the form of a sword that intricately satisfied Samui's fervor - and so, Jiman no Echigo revealed itself to its new master. The sword itself still has a lot of unsolved mysteries behind it, but what is certain is that raw natural energy sparked its transformation - which further supplemented Samui's very soul. In his hands, a fraction of the natural world.
